A Reminder on Finding Happiness
I recently listened to an episode of A Bit of Optimism with Simon Sinek, featuring Arthur Brooks, the Harvard professor and author who teaches one of the most popular courses on happiness. The discussion was lively, and a few ideas really struck me.
Brooks breaks happiness into three parts: enjoyment, satisfaction, and meaning. But what I kept returning to was their conversation about the process. True happiness, they said, isn’t about achieving milestones or checking boxes—it’s found in the daily unfolding of life: in the small acts of growth, in challenges that stretch us, and in moments that deepen our connection to ourselves and others.
Hearing this was a welcome reminder for me — it calms me, grounds me, and brings a quiet sense of happiness.
